The Joyous Wedding of Marianne and Dan

On what started as a drizzly May weekday, I photographed the Wedding of Marianne and Dan at Lapstone Barn, a day that turned into one of the most fun and unforgettable weddings I have shot.

Lapstone Barn is a traditional 18th-century romantic Cotswold barn will sweep you off your feet, and it was the most perfect venue for Marianne and Dan to wed and celebrate their love for each other.

Marianne had made Wedding Day newsletters for every table, which I thought was a very clever and creative way to share the order of the day with guests!

One of the highlights of the day (and there were many!) was the dancefloor. Marianne and Dan had hired a phenomenal band, Four Kicks, who had a magical power of getting everyone on the dance floor and not letting anyone leave!

Lapstone Barn was recently converted to a stunning wedding venue and set on a peaceful Cotswolds hill in Gloucestershire.

On their website, Lapstone Barn says it is a venue for all seasons and I would wholeheartedly agree. Despite burying a sausage in the garden the night before, unfortunately the day itself started with thunder and the sun did not feel like making a visit throughout the day. However, this did not spoil the day in any way. The venue was very spacious inside and allowed for plenty of light. There were plenty of sheltered areas outside for when it started raining.

Plus, no weather could spoil a venue as beautiful as this, especially when the bride, groom and their guests brought the vibes that felt like the sun was shinning the whole day.
